My organic holistic facial spa
I can’t remember
the last time I had a facial. Maybe it’s about a year ago to be honest, I know
I’m very lazy but because I feel that facials are a chores rather than a form
of relaxation especially the extraction part. I got to know about Crystal
Maiden through Mefitted who has kindly arranged the treatment, I said yes
because I wanted to try their signature organic holistic treatment after
reading good reviews about it.
An
easy walk from Somerset MRT, Crystal Maiden is a quaint and clean spa which
specialises in organic facial treatments. I was greeted by Yen whom I
comfortably discussed my problem areas with so she would know what type of
organic treatment she would do – it ranges from mixed skin type, sensitive, excess
oils etc. They use 100% natural
certified organic skin care products range from France that comes in vials. The
whole treatment is 90 minutes. I went last Monday after traveling for four days
so yes – I badly need a facial spa. The holistic facial spa covers the chest,
shoulders, nape, face, head and neck. This is the first time I did a facial
that included the chest, shoulders and nape area and I must admit it’s very relaxing!
After one session you could see my face is glowing and brighter (apologies for
my unruly eyebrows).

The
treatment she did for me was the Soin Equilibre, if you don’t read French (like
myself haha) it means carefully balanced.
This treatment is suitable for all skin types whether oily, combination,
dry or mature skin. There were four vials in my treatment and each was
carefully removed and extracted. Even after just removing my make-up and
cleansing my face, I swear I saw some changes already and I feel that my face
is brighter. The massage that comes with it was very relaxing I might have
dozed off and snored a bit and only woke up during extraction. Yen asked me if
I wanted to proceed seeing that I quite feared it, but I really wanted to maximize
the cleansing so I said yes and she was very gentle, and was resting in between
a few extractions.

The
final part is the mask which lasted for 25 mins. By this time I’m already so
relaxed so it wasn’t difficult for me to doze off. Overall, I enjoyed the
experience so much and most importantly I was able to see results! I would
recommend for both men and women to do it, but the investment doesn’t come
cheap. 1 session costs from S$138 – S$238 and it is recommended to have at
least 6 sessions to maximize the effects. I was actually thinking if I could
give a session (or six) to my mom as a gift!
Located at 02-23 Orchard Plaza which is an easy walk from Somerset MRT, Crystal Maiden is a quaint and clean spa house.
