EnzSerum: What is?

I’ve struggled with weight management in the past (3 years ago) and I have adopted a healthy lifestyle ever since. I work out regularly, sparing 4-6 hours a week at the gym or running. I also try to eat clean eg. Eating organic salad leaves without dressing (just a little lemon squeeze), cooking the food by steaming or boiling (instead of frying).

I was introduced to EnzSerum by Jbeautybyjj which is basically a fat-reducing serum. The main ingredient is Hydrogenated Phosphatidylcholine, it sounds so serious and scary but it’s actually natural and comes from soy lecithin. It has the capability of destroying fat cell membrane, removing the triglyceride therefore exterminating fat cells. The Coenzyme A and Vitamin BT (Carmitine) will then proceed to gently eliminate the fatty acid.

Each of us has different fat concentration and since it is a serum you can apply it on any body part you want, whether your waist, belly, arms, or thighs. I chose to apply it on my flabby arms and thighs. Ever since the “thigh-gap” phenomenon came it to play, I’ve doubled my thigh workout so it wouldn’t hurt to try applying some EnzSerum around that area. I also feel quite insecure of my arms so that’s another target area for me.

Applying it is very easy, I apply two drops of the serum (each drop is the size of a 50cents coin) to each of my thighs and one drop on each of my arms.

When you order one bottle it automatically comes with a massager. I use the massager to help me thoroughly spread the serum and cover my targeted areas. It also feels good especially after a long work out. It is advised to apply EnzSerum twice a day, one after bathing and another application after sleeping. Don’t worry, you can leave the serum on your body. Remember, it’s made of all natural ingredient!

I have only tried for a few days now but if you’re keen and interested you can get yours via whatsapp: +60 146 799 663/wechat: meslimming/Facebook: www.facebook.com/enzsexylehbyjj (free shipping to Malaysia and Singapore).

Bad hair days no more

I’m so happy floppy hats and boater hats are in season, or else I wouldn’t know what to do with my thick, unruly hair. I may have a way of putting together and styling clothes, but I really suck at fixing my hair. I do own a brush, hair dryer (mom’s) and curling iron (gift) but I have a hard time operating the last two. I have a headful of hair, and I don’t mean ordinary thick hair. I’m talking volume and weight so it gets out of shape or really heavy when it’s too long. During my collaboration discussion with In Trim Hair, they asked me what results I wanted to achieve so that they can recommend the right hair service for me.

At first I thought I needed an Argan Oil treatment but after further consultation they suggested Anti-Frizz straightening instead. I told them my hair issue. I would like to maintain the volume or at least the illusion of volume on a daily basis through low maintenance practices (read: I don’t have time to blow dry my hair every morning).

Anti-Frizz straightening is like putting on permanent make-up. After the treatment my hair will be shinier, frizz-free and easy to manage. She also recommended a hair cut from the senior stylist Jessie, as Jessie could layer my hair in a flattering way.

The entire process including the haircut took 3 hours. But I wasn’t bored at all as I had unlimited green tea and the salon was well-lit with interesting wall designs. I had a chat with Jessie and she said In Trim salon has been in operation for 13 years. They were previously located in Concorde hotel, however due to renovations they moved to The Aperia mall four months ago.

Here are some snaps:

First step :) Jessie and Mary both applied the Japanese product on my hair

After the process, all I could say is O.M.G. I really felt lighter. I think I lost around 1-2 kg there. My neck, which has been hurting for the past weeks or months now, had a breather. I could also see that my hair was instantly shiny and it really looks healthier. I had a haircut as well that complemented my squareish face.

I feel 1 kg lighter haha

If money was no object

04:30 Hanna Tantoco 0 Comments Category : advertorial , entertainerasia , hanna ad , hanna tantoco , hannatantoco , hot summer nights , the entertainer

When asked the question, if money was no object, what will you do? Without batting an eyelash my answer is TRAVELLING. Sadly, travelling is expensive. Without having reached the destination, you’ve already spent a couple of hundreds (or thousands!) on your airfare depending on the destination. Then you have to spend on your accommodation, food, tours and shopping. I’m quite lucky, my day job includes covering the region and therefore I get to “escape” every now and then.

I’m such a city girl so my favorite travel destinations are definitely bustling metropolitans and topping my list are – Tokyo, New York and Hong Kong.

But, we shouldn’t fret seeing the world one paycheck at a time since Entertainer is here. Ever since I downloaded the app a couple of weeks back, I’ve gained weight taking advantage of 1-for- 1 offers from well-known dining establishments in Singapore. But Entertainer isn’t just available domestic nor is it limited on dining establishments alone. They have attractions, spas and hotels across 42 destinations in 17 countries. During the Hot Summer Nights promotion from the 1st May to 31st August 2015, Entertainer Members can book one night, get one free; book two nights, get two free or even book three nights and get three free.

The Hot Summer Nights promotion features an amazing selection of hotels and resorts throughout the Middle East, Asia and Indian Ocean. Destinations include: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Egypt, Thailand, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka, Mauritius and the Maldives. Vince and I are planning to go Maldives for our honeymoon so I would definitely be taking advantage of this promotion!

Barber shop hunting

06:25 Hanna Tantoco 0 Comments Category : advertorial , directory , hanna ad , hanna tantoco , hannatantoco , mefitted , mefitters , recommendations , reviews , Singapore blogger

Thanks to the internet and Google, you can literally find everything you need with just a few taps and clicks. I’m one of those folks who types “nail salon near Tanjong Pagar” or “good spas near Somerset” and my decision depends heavily on the top search result on Google. That’s not always good though, because there’s such a thing as search engine optimization (SEO) which according to the Business Dictionary refers to the process of improving traffic to a given website by increasing the site's visibility in search engine results. Websites sometimes do this by creating better content, but this could also be done by “purchasing” visibility. A more accurate but a slightly more tedious process is to read reviews done via parallel blogs. This is the safer way when you have the luxury of time, not when you want to do something on the fly.

Scenario: You’re on the bus ride home and you realized you have a few hours to spare so why not spend it on a new manicure?

Scenario 2: The next movie is not until an hour, why not have that haircut you’ve been pushing off?

Mefitted does this and more. My fiance’s trusted hairstylist moved to a different outlet, and sadly, one that is far from where we live. Being the nice girlfriend that I am, I promised to help him find a replacement. So I did my search the way that I always do and found that there were 6 barbershops and salons within a 10 km radius. Now, I don’t have time to search up each outlet and read reviews from various sources. But I still need to find a place that could do a good job or suffer from rants about his hair for a week (or as soon as it grows back to a decent level).

With Mefitted, not only can you find a directory of grooming, beauty and style but you can also find reviews and ratings from those who have tried the place. So I read a few (more like a bunch - it’s addictive!) and I signed up yesterday to give a few reviews myself since I know it would help a bunch of folks who might be needing help as well! You can try it out yourself – since it’s free - and contribute to keeping this community of reviewers alive. Apart from that, when you sign up as a Mefitter, you will be entitled to discounts in-store at participating businesses!

Why don’t you try it today?

Opt to search for businesses near a certain location or via the business name. If you want to check the Islandwide directory, then just filter it by either – Hair, Face, Body or Nails.

I chose to search “Somerset”. Then the search resulted to tons of businesses so I filtered it out further, and since this is for Vince I chose to filter it by Men/Barber.

After which I read the reviews and ratings of the other Mefitters before I decided.

Finally seeing the Angkor Wat

05:15 Hanna Tantoco 0 Comments Category : Angkor Wat , Angkor Wat Review , Asian fashion , blogger , blogger Singapore , blogshop , Cambodia , clozette , clozette ambassador , hanna tantoco , hannatantoco , Singapore blogger , Singapore fashion , Somadevi Hotel

I have always been fascinated with the Angkor Wat, ever since I saw its majestic photographs in my elementary text books. It had always been a life goal to visit the place – I don’t know why it took this long for me to book my tickets and pack my bags.

But for those who are planning to head out, here’s my quick 101 as I really didn’t spend time documenting.

The fiance and I flew to Siem Reap via SQ/Silk Air, the trip takes about 1 ½ hours and you gain an hour when you land in Cambodia since Singapore is an hour ahead.

April is one of the warmest months, if not the warmest! But I would pick hot and humid over a rainy day when I’m traveling since I’ll be going around and it’s quite difficult to be commuting during the wet season. The great thing about going during the first week of April is being able to take advantage of the Khmer New year rates! We stayed in Somadevi Hotel and Spa located near the Night Market and Pub Street. We picked this location since we know we would be hanging out at the bars night at night, sipping coffee or grabbing some half pints which were just US$0.50. Another important piece of information is you don’t need to convert your money to Riels. USD is widely accepted. For items below USD$1, the store will give you change in Riels so fret not.

We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights, the first day was spent exploring the old market and night market. I checked out a few souvenirs and settled for a Cambodia fridge magnet. I’m not much of a souvenir person. I sent my best friend in Sweden a postcard from Cambodia when I went to Phnom Penh last year so that will take care of it!

The second day we hired a tuktuk for a full day and contracted him through our hotel to avoid the stress of hustling and to avoid touts. Our Angkor Wat adventure started at 5:00 am – we wanted to catch the sunrise! Obviously, you can’t really have a full-proof schedule of the sun rise and you just have to make do with an estimate. Reached the place at 5:45 am and since it was summer, the sun rose much later- at around 6:10 am. But ever since we reached the place, we were taking pictures of everything and 30 minutes later the sun was so orange with all its glory. It was so surreal! J Angkor is actually a village where the Angkor Wat is located along with numerous other temples – it would take around 2 to 3 days to complete the route if you are to visit every nook and cranny. We just went to the major ones e.g. Ta Prom (where the Tomb Raider film was shot), Bayon temple, Angkor Thom and Bakong)

The third day we decided to go for a half-day floating village tour and then watch the sunset at the famous Tonle Sap Lake, the biggest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. So the floating village actually floats on water during high-tide, but since we went during the hottest month, they were just “floating” on stilts. Our tour guide said that around 2,000 families live in the floating village. Some study and work abroad or in the city, but they always go back to their families. Arrived back at the city around 7:00 pm, went for a cold shower and then headed back to the pub street where I did some gelish pedicure since it was way cheaper than Singapore (US$10). Grabbed a bite, and then went to the convenience store to buy back some snacks for the night cap.

With the very nice lady from Washington DC whom I had the pleasure to sit with :)

Fourth day and day of departure, woke up to have the usual breakfast and then headed to the Park Hyatt Hotel which was so posh and lovely. The colonial French structure was so refreshing and it was indeed a departure from the very busy life outside

Overall! We had a blast and a tick off my travel list :)

Love,

Hanna

Mobile dating app, perhaps?

03:02 Hanna Tantoco 0 Comments Category : advertorial , blogger Singapore , dating app Singapore , hanna ad , hanna tantoco , hannatantoco , Lunch Click , LunchClick , Mobile Dating app , Singapore blogger , Singapore giveaway

If you've ever tried online dating or mobile dating apps, I think you'll find that as long as you're female, you'll be bombarded by men looking for flings and casual relationships. The existing market for dating apps seem to mainly cater to guys, and not to the female population at all. But, I recently got to know of this app, LunchClick and it's so different than all the other apps out there!

Fuss-free and safe. Download and build your personal profile!

LunchClick is easy to use and as mentioned above, it's Singapore's first female-centric app. I like the fact that NRIC is required! The app checks the SDN database (Social Development Network) of the Ministry of Social and Family Development to ensure that nobody is married. It also checks the Facebook profiles and rejects people with fake profiles or those whose relationship status shows that they are attached. It's hard to find true love these days so the people behind LunchClick wants to ensure that only genuine singles with the right reasons are within the database.

I built my personal profile :)

The app is also abuse-free! Meaning, there's only one match per day. Users wouldn't be able to swipe right endlessly to check out profiles! This means that females won't be bombarded by messages from those guys who message everyone without looking at their profiles.

Are you ready to try the app? Simply go to the app store or play store to download it. And here's more good news! For the first 1000 users who use the "propose a date" feature and go on a real life date, LunchClick will sponsor your meals! Yes, you read it right! You'll go on a free date with your potential "The One". What are you waiting for? Download LunchClick now from GooglePlay or Apple App Store.

Ofcourse, like with anything else. I would encourage you to exercise caution and good judgment in using any app and when going on dates! Enjoy! :)

Hanna

Workout junkie: JBL Synchros Reflect BT Review

16:55 Hanna Tantoco 1 Comments Category : blogger Singapore , giveaway , hanna ad; advertorial , hanna tantoco , hannatantoco , JBL Synchros Reflect BT , Review Headset , Review JBL Synchros Reflect , sg blog , Singapore giveaway

If you met me 2 years ago, you wouldn’t have recognized me. I was pushing 49kg in my petite stance of 158 cm. Then one day, in between biting on my BLT sandwich and awaiting the results of my annual medical check-up, I woke up to the reality that I needed to live a healthier lifestyle.

Now, I am a full-pledged gym junkie and I also run often. But my workout gets disrupted with tangled chords and headset wires as well as earphones dropping off my ears. Just when I’m in the zone, pushing myself to work hard and all, I need to pause to fix my wires or else choke to death and then re-attach my earphones. It’s very annoying and discouraging!

Workout Essentials

The JBL Synchros Reflect BT gets rid of this problem, and then some! Apart from the 5 hours of Bluetooth enabled wireless connectivity, the sound quality also stays true to JBL’s high standards for audio gadgets. Best of all, it is sweat proof, so don’t worry if you’ll be sweating like crazy as it wouldn’t affect the sound quality at all. My two personal favorite features are the reflective chord – I could definitely use it during my night runs as an added reflector and the fact that the headset fits well and stays attached to my ears no matter how active or physical my workout could be! The hook really hooks comfortably well.

A headset that fits well

Make sure that you charge your earphones to ensure continuity of usage. I personally charge mine after every 2 workouts (after 3.5 hours) so I don’t ever have to worry about draining the battery in the middle of my session.
